Sorry to ressurect this thread, but I thought I'd let you know I'll be gone for the rest of the week as we are going trout fishing up at Eagle Lake, and I don't want a repeat of the recent debacle! See you Saturday!

Joe. :smile
What time Saturday?.

Just in time to read the 381 posts logged between now and then before my afternoon beauty nap.

Joe - I hate to be the one to break the news to you, but I don’t think it will help.

Dave-

Whatever sleeping/beauty rests/naps I took didn't help much, but we caught and released 10 of the famous Eagle Lake Trout from 3 to 5 lbs over the few days there on the C-Dory.

Joe - that is one good-looking fish. Sounds like you had a successful fishing trip. What kind of tackle do you use on them?

Two basic methods: we troll with attractor blades or dodgers and small spoons that immitate the Tai Chub feeder fish in the lake, or we still fish with clear AdJusta-Bubble partially water -filled bobbers with nightcrawlers below 5-6 ft.

There are some other methods, but these produce most of our fish. We caught and released 10 of these 3-5 pounders over 3 and 1/2 days (some days were rained or blown out).

We sometimes troll with Luhr-Jensen side planers to get into the shallow water along the rocks and tules. Starcraftom Elliot tipped me in on their use! Thanks, Tom!

No problem. I am currently (this winter) working on using large side planners with releases to fish the shallow water around whidbey island for steelhead when they start to show up. stand by for reports later in the year.
