What's this on my transom?

Been so long I forgot what it looked like with a motor

The prop run with a 14.25 x 19 only gave about 5400 RPM with top speed of 36 mph so a 14.25 x 17 is on order. Looking for 5600 to 5700 RPM although the speed is about what I expected. Thinking I will pickup a 15 pitch for a spare/heavy load prop. The whole prop selection thing is a little frustrating and something I have not had to deal with until now. Really wanted to go to a stainless prop but finding it difficult to find the correct pitch and diameter.

Can't wait to get out and run it, next weekend is open for halibut so a 80 mile open ocean run will be the sea trail.

As a composite boat builder, in my opinion you did a great job with your transom repair! Good finish.

Great job! Now that you've got all the methods worked out and perfected, how much are you going to charge Tyboo Mike to do/help with the rebuild on his 25? :lol: :wink:
