What is going on with C-Dory ownership/production?

We were recently informed that C-Dory has been sold (again!) to Seasport of Bellingham, WA.

Does anyone know anything about this? Is it true? If so, what are Seasport's plans for C-Dory?

There have been a couple of threads dealing with this issue, but yes, the assets, molds, etc. for C-Dory were sold to Sea Sport in Bellingham.

The first of the Sea Sport built boats, a 16 Angler, arrived at our location a few days ago. Sea Sport will slowly begin producing C-Dories. There is still a lot of inventory out in the feild on dealer's lots, so it may take awhile before Sea Sport builds all of the line.

Their current plans are to build the existing line without changes.
 
Thank you, Mat, for your reply. Judging by the past of Seasport boats they should also do a good job with C-Dorys.
Now I have another question for you or anyone: Sleeping in a C-Dory in cool to cold weather will cause enough condensation over the bunk to drip down on the sleepers.
Has anyone successfully installed insulation to reduce condensation? If so, what kind and how?
On the other side of the temperatur spectrum, the cabin of a 22 can get awfully hot inside when at rest on a hot day. Would insulation in the decks/roof help with that?

The Venture Series, and the 255 Tomcat have foam backed vinyl on the hard surfaces to quiet the boat down and improve insulation / reduce condensation.

Some like the look, others hate it. It does seem to do the job, condensation-wise.
 
There are several threads on this matter, search "condensation" Some have used closed cell under carpet. Also a thread about several noise dampening coatings and then a spray on insulation coating over that. I noted 1 thread after a 5 year test the coatings are doing great.

Got a couple of questions about the Sea Sport built C-Dorys. How do they compare list price wise with the Fluid/Reynolds built boats? Also are they going to use balsa or foam as a core or are they going to build them like a Sea Sport? Just curious,

We carpeted our v-berth this year and really like it. We used close cell foam with carpet over it. Total cost was 3 to 400 and time was a couple of days. keeps the v-berth warmer and dry. very good up grade.

Looks like pricing is going to be the same so far, and construction is unchanged, Balsa in the Classics, foam in the Venture and Tomcat.

The 2010 product will be almost indistinguishable from the Fluid 2009's.
