I was going to go smelt dipping at Kalaloch, but I just called the Ranger Station and was told that the only people on the beach were watching the huge surf that is still rolling in after the storm. I may have to go down and take a look. I think I'll pack my dip net in case I feel brave.

wow hope those without power get it back soon. not bad water today running from port sidney to chemainus to cowichan to genoa for the night.
 
John, I hope you got to the bakery at Chemainus. It's best about 0705. You could live on the smell for about a week.
