Vessel Name
" ? " After Rename Ceremony
Some time back, someone made a post and/or sent me an email that contained a link that we could type in an address....and we could see the sat view....plus the GPS coordiantes at the cross hairs on the site...

Can anyone help me with this please...?

Thanks.

Google maps has this capability.

There are several other programs which do the same thing, but I find that Google has the best database. BUT, the actual Lat and Long may be slightly off for a specific address. For example my home is about 200 feet further South and the Lat and Long give it.

I would suggest that everyone have Google Earth loaded in their computer. It is an excellent resource for cruising.

Thanks Bob.. Hope all is well and sorry I missed yall at the P'cola show this year... Just too much to get ready for my other travels...and a bit far this close to other trips. I sure miss yall.

Yes, Google Earth is cool....and....that new SPOT gizmo out this year looks really nice too... but that could be on another thread already. Bill and El like theirs on Halcyon and land travels too.

I wil be there in a day or two with GPS in hand and was just needing a quick reference....

Thanks Bob.

This web site http://demo.geogarage.com/noaa/ , has NOAA Charts and satellite views. You can zoom in on your inside passage cruise then check out the charts or vis a vis. Has the east coast also. You can plan your next cruise or revisit old anchorages. Way fun!

You can also try lat-long.com That site let you ask to find a location and gives the lat-long plus locates it on a chart or googlemap type illustration .
