The Great Falls Tribune had a feature today about our last cold spell shattering records. For us it broke a 92 year old record. If you appreciate irony, our closest ski run is twenty miles away with great snow, over sixty inches packed powder. But attendance is way down because it is too cold to ski. Even the snow mobile folks are waiting for the thaw. Brrrrrr! Our hardy mallards and Canada geese are still hanging around because our Smth River is not completely frozen over.

We have put out 80 lbs of the black top sun flower seeda in our feeders this winter, helping keep our little feathered friends alive.
