We are considering a C Dory

hi my wife and I have been researching boats and a C Dory seems just right. The closest dealers are in N Carolina and Florida and we are in Atlanta. We were wondering if anyone in the Atlanta GA area has a 22ft boat we could come " C ". We would really appreciate it!

FYI we have 3 22s on the lot at Wefings right now , 2 25s , and a 23 Venture . Also a Tomcat .
A veritable Disneyland of C Dorys !
And some great seafood to round out the trip !
Not to mention our October gathering with a number of boats and personalities .
Call us if we can help !
Marc

Hi Jenny & Kevin, welcome to our little group.

I highly recommend taking Marc's advice and going to the Apalachicola Gathering next month. If the C-Dory seems right for you now, you will see just how right it is when you meet some of the many wonderful people who choose them. Marc and Wefings will do what is best to get you in the perfect boat whether new, used or bought from somewhere else. They are not your typical boat dealers and a visit is well worth your time.

Best of luck in your search and thank you for looking us up!

I joined this site about 5 yrs before buying a boat. Great decision getting one. Marc Grove ,great place to deal with, knowing you get good service ,honest and follow up services when needed.

Kevin,
It's a niche boat from the Pacific Northwest, you'll see more at Marc's Apalachicola Gathering than in all of Georgia.
Mobile East Marine has a 2016 and 2007, Marc has more, plus get direct input from real owners and our group guru, Bob Austin, who knows more about all C-Dorys than anyone and tows his current 22 all over the continent each year with his beau.
A well maintained used boat is a good deal, when just like new cars, you've let a prior owner suck up 50% depreciation but only 10% of the life of the boat.
DO NOT look at a Tom Cat, or you'll have to have one.
Hope to see you guys there,
John

By happenstance we will be taking a vacation that includes the weekend of the Apalachicola Gathering. We will be at Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina for 6 days then drive down to Apalachicola to meet everyone and see the boats. We have been there once many years ago and enjoyed the area very much. Along with the coastal Carolinas, Florida is an area that we are very interested in cruising during the cooler months. It will be interesting to see how the boats have been customized for different reasons.
