Wax on the foredeck textured areas?

As the weather is starting to warm up and my new boat has never been waxed it is getting time to get it done. I have a question about wax on the textured areas of the foredeck. It looks like it will be a major pain to get the dried wax out of those little crevices, the "wipe on, wipe off" won't really work there. Has anyone found a solution to the time and elbow grease required with regular boat wax to protect the finish in that textured area?

I can't speak from experience on this one, but Aurora makes a special wax called "Sure Step," that is specifically for decks/non-skid and is apparently like a wax in all the good ways, but then grippy when you step down on it. That sounds like a good combo.

I have "heard" (online) good things about it from people who have used it. I think I may try it.

I'm pretty sure you don't want to put anything slippery on the non-skid. The last thing you want is a skid deck! Haven't tried the stuff Sunbeam mentions, but that might be the deal. So far, I have just cleaned mine.

Woody Wax non skid is the standard for this type of problem. Some folks have used surf board non skid wax.

On the question of getting the wax polished in the cracks/valleys/bottom, try a medium brush. Those fibers get right down to the bottom, and if they're not too stiff, do a good job of cleaning and polishing.

Woody wax works for me; easy to apply and does the job. I know West Marine sells it.
