Veteran's Day

Charley,

Thanks old buddy -- I needed that, but it's amazing what 50 years and 50 pounds (mostly around the waist) will do to one's present looks!! You are invited to my 91st birthday party this Feb. -- bring single malt, okay?
Dusty -- and thank you for your service, Charley

At our church today, they did a Veterans Remember day. Our little church produced 40 Vet's, from every service including CB's except USCG. Each vet was called up front and saluted and given a gift book, "Psalm 91. God's Shield of Protection"

There was a standing ovation, and there were tears.

Thanks again to every Vet, and each family for all your service, and sacrifice.

I serve the Veterans 5 days a week, I work the Department of Veterans Affairs. I find if a privilege and honor to help and serve our Veterans who served our country.
My father was top turret gunner in a B17 out of England in WWII. I never had the privilege to serve but thank these who did and put their lives on the line to protect our country and livelihood.

SFC, Headquarters Battery 2nd BN 222 ARTY 1963-1969

My father was a B-17 pilot WW ll, 452nd Bomb Group 8th Air Force.
He was shot down over Berlin on 4 March 1944 and held as a POW until the end of the war.

Also my grandson will complete Marine boot camp next week.

Thanks for yours too! Is it OK if I come early? Probably won't be able to come back after SBS11 but I'll be there the end of January (complete with the single malt!!
