Thanks Harvey, ceremonies were curtailed here this year due to pandemic. We were at Cosco where they pause all business at 10.58 for the playing of Taps, followed by a minute of silence. Very happy to see everyone still respectful of the moment.

May I add a thank you to the extended family of those deployed for their sacrifices keeping the home safe for their return or whose loved one did not return safe - whether physically or mentally.

Regards,

Rob

To all our Veterans, thank you for your service and the sacrifice you have made in your life and your family's life for the benefit of this great Country. Your service came at a great cost to you and your family. I am so grateful that we as a nation have reserved this day to honor you. Thank you again for your service. May God bless you and your families and continue to bless the U.S.A.

Well, a year has passed, and another Veterans Day has (nearly) passed. It was a good day. Food Bank volunteering, and a church project errand, and then Mother Nature doing her best imitation of a drive through car wash ALL day. The free Veterans car wash was closed -- Rain checks?

Thanks you to all our Vets here, and to the families for their support. You all are important.

This year I had the privilege of visiting the Vietnam Veterans Traveling wall 3 times, Farmington NM, Longview WA, and LaPine OR. The visit to Farmington included getting to be in the escort from Durango, CO to the San Juan Community College campus where we set up the "Wall". That was my "Welcome Home" experience, and worth the whole trip. I was able to spend most of every day there with the "Wall" for the 5 days from set up to disassembly for transport. It was my privilege to carry the panel (W22/117) from the "Wall" to the truck that day. What an honor.

I know many of you have seen the real Wall in DC. For me, this may be as close as I ever get to that, so it was special. I visited it in one place with my daughter and another with my brother in law ( a Vietnam era Vet) and his daughters and their families. It was worth those visits too.

Salute and God Bless America.

Harvey

We went to one of my granddaughters school performances honoring veterans in Kemmerer, Wyoming. It was well done & the youth there gave me hope for our countries future.
