Vertical Sliding Window/ Door/ Round two

The windows are on order. All 14; the previously listed 12 plus Larry K and myself; all with CD white finish (better known at DSG as RAL 9001) except 3 for Sean, David, and Tim which will be anodized aluminum. Received checks from all except C Hardy (it's in the mail, I know) and Larry K (soaking up the rays at Key West, I know; also enjoy some Key Lime pie for me). Mounting screw will be included. Sean, Kim at DSG didn't return your call because he couldn't make out the number you left on voice mail. Shipping to me in 5-6 weeks. Real-old-CD owners are the lucky ones; they get a rebate applied to shipping due to the $26 lower cost of the anodized finish.

Greetings all! If anyone is planning to replace a poly bulkhead door with the new glass door, I'd be interested in purchasing your old poly door. It would be a lower maintenance upgrade from my current wood grain door. I obviously have the standard height (ie lower) cabin roof if that makes a difference. I'm located in the Seattle area. Sorry to the webmaster if this isn't the right forum for this inquiry. Westward.

I was out of town last week, just got back last night. DSG called last week, of course. I just called them and gave them my SSN for customs (now I'm a marked man) and they will ship soon. I will post updates as they happen. Jay

The windows arrived today, not in a brown truck as expected but in a white semi. Two packages, wood crated, and heavy. Tomorrow I will disassemble crates and devise my system for repackaging. Hopefully, I will get them all out next week sometime. Anyone who has changed address or is not sure what address I have for them, please pm or email me your address. I will be looking at money soon but won't finalize that until after I ship the windows; I expect very little money to be due, if any. Any questions or concerns, pm or email me. Jay

Jay:

Thanks for the update. It seems to me that this has been a lot more work and required a lot more of your time than any of us anticipated. I am very appreciative of all you have done to make life a little more comfortable on C-Batical. Please don't hesitate to cross charge me for any additional costs incurred.

Sincerely,
Rollie/C-Batical

Terraplane, Sorry but you are too late. The order was done 6 weeks ago and the windows are here now. You can either order one from Diamond Sea Glaze for about $500 or head a group of 6 or more and order them for about $300 each; the catch is that DSG will ship them all to you and you reship them individually; you also make the deposit and final payment to DSG. Call Kim at DSG at 800-770-0455. If someone doesn't want one of the 14 I have (they're all paid for, so I doubt it) I'll contact you. Jay

Is it still time to order one for our 22 Cruiser? Please let me know and I will send you the check for $300. I will send additional check for shipping once you let me know what that would be unless you know now and I will add it to the check.

Thanks,

John & Diane on the R&R

JohnR,

As Jay wrote above:

He's just following up with those who signed up for the sliding windows two months ago.

I misunderstood the the string; if anyone is going to do a repeat on the order I would be interested in getting involved. It looks like quantity rings the cost down considerably.

Costs are $300 for white finish and $273 for aluminum finish plus shipping plus shipping materials that I can't salvage or scrounge. I will insure all for the full $300. Jay

That sounds fine with me. Please let me know the total amount of shipping and packing materials and where to send the check.
Thanks again,
John

UPS ground appears to be about $17 1/3 of the way across the country and $27 to the extremes except of course Alaska; Tim I'll pm you your options. I'm buying boxes, tape, a roll of bubble wrap, etc which will come to about $12/window. Don't mail any $'s yet ; I'll pm each of you with a final figure after shipping. Jay

Jay,

Thanks for all your time you have spent working on this. I know that all of us really appreciate all the time and work that you put in this project. You and all the other C-Brats are why this is a great site. I hope that someday I can return the good deed.

Again thanks

Larry K

I'm on a roll and may have packaging complete tomorrow. Sent five today; owners should have email with tracking numbers. Screws are included; if anyone needs more, let me know; I have extras. If there is any damage, let UPS know and me also; I'll do whatever at this end with the Shipping Shop who receives from me and passes off to UPS. UPS usually wants to see the packing and box, so don't throw it away. I am reluctant to send them without breathing confirmation and address confirmation. Waiting on Not For Hire, handy, tsturm, and C-Weed. Jay
