Bill, waxing the brand new car? That's hard core.

Heh..it's for all of the cars, but yes - I'll be using it on the new Element.

Per Peter, he said no problemo on clear coat. As those who have met me will attest to, I'm far from a clean freak - but we travel through the CA central valley frequently, and the bugs are insane. If one doesn't keep the car slick as a baby's butt, getting those dried off critters removed is a major pain.

I live in FL where we have to put up with the Love Bugs twice a year. In order to get rid of them from the front of my vehicles, I wet the front grill, hood and windshield down, then go over it with a wet Dryer Fabric Softener Sheet, then rinse thoroughly. No hard scrubbing required, the sheets just dissolve the bugs and doesn't seem to have an effect on the wax or the chrome.

This one is sold by Griot's Garage, but it is a rebranded Porter Cable I think.

Yes it is. They work great and are not too heavy. Having a black car I use it in a vain attempt to make the paint look good without the infamous swirl marks. I have yet to try it on the boat but I'm sure it will work fine. I have another cheaper one with a larger pad I think I will try first, however. It has a bigger pad and I'm with Robbi; not on my fav list.

OK then... Thanks. Will order me one of these and some pads too to get the boats ready and shinned up for spring. May just have to jazz up the Beetle a bit too...as I may soon be heading south to see some folks, boats, and things...

ALSO like the $10 safety bi-focals for sure. Will get me a set or two of them too.

Which reminds me I need to send in my Costal DelMar's in for new updated lens'.... Interesting how my load plan has changed in the last few years.... added glasses spray bottles, micro wipes, glasses containers, working glasses, just seeing glasses... and the list goes on. But, is it not great to have and enjoy our eyes...even if they need a bit of help. Guess I need to order another pelican box for the boat for my glasses/glasses care kit... that floats just in case it goes over during a margarita blending.

Never have tried the dryer sheets for the love bugs. For sure they are an issue in the south.

Thanks for getting this sander and items craning Robbi and Bill for the link. :beer
