Ugliest boat afloat ?

Here's my first choice, a fine Canadian Yacht spotted in Herriot Bay on Canada Day 2004. Note the fine saloon accomodations and the Heli-pad on the rear deck. Hey! He's boating, right? Dreamer

I've got a picture of the tow vehicle for the runabout + truck canopy cabin cruiser. This would probably also be a good tow vehicle for the 'billy yacht.

That last one is resembling the 22 footer being prepped for the Canadian trip. Kind of a Buck Rogers meets Lil Abner thing!

I'm getting this remark out of my system now, before the inevitable happens, and someone purchases a 29 Venture and becomes a C-Brat, worthy by membership of our courtesy and respect: The thing is an absolute POS. There, I said it! I can't recall a boat of that length with less usable space anywhere else. It has the exaggerated, over-the-top look of a Humvee. OK, now I'll crawl back under the rock I came out from... Mike.

I was recently marsh fishing outside of New Orleans, saw quite a number of Oyster Boats, here is one of the them. I was afraid to photograph the crew. I also found a "luxury version"

How about a Reinell sailboat (The powerboat with a mast) in metalflake purple. :smiled It looked like an eggplant that had been rolled in glitter. :crook That and a skipper with an atitude :amgry Met in Nanimo a few years back. :sad

Centerisland: I've seen "Ironsides" a million times coming in/out of Skyline and each time I cringe. The photos make it look better than in real life. I guess the free market will now determine its true value. Its polar opposite is also in Skyline: "Constant". Maybe we should start a "most beautiful boat afloat" thread? Mike.

That's easy - my boat, of course.

You guys are breaking me up laughing with this thread. Uncle Otto, the boat you pictured reminds me of a grebe or the top half of the road runner (remember the old cartoon where the coyote always gets foiled) I use to say I never met a boat I didn't like, until if saw the folboat - an assault on the senses!! Or a mega yacht hogging the dock at Princess Louisa marine park. This monster was grotesque. With Chatterbox Falls tumbling in all its glory in the background, this monstrosity of ostentatiousness became instant visual pollution. Picture a boat with huge teak deck leading to full glass doors, and behind that a baby grand piano. Not exaggerating at all. Now a C-Dory cruiser would have complimented the scene. Why? Because it has beautiful lines.

Dang!! I'm getting frustrated. :amgry I want to see all of these "UGLY" boats, but many of the posts come up with a little box with a red X in it for the picture. :crook Can anyone tell me what I might have set wrong? :embarrased Jack
