I don't think anybody has yet mentioned the new Cabellas growing out of the ground at Tulalip!

This is going to be major cool - and convenient - for us Puget Sound Brats, who no longer will need to head down to Lacey for our Cabellas fix!

Yes. I agree! It will be so nice not to have to drive so far.

I did not post about it but I did mention it in a post. It will be very cool to have it right by the house. Susan and I will be at the grand opening when they announce it.

the last time I was in a Cabellas was when a person had to drive to South Dakota cause that was the closest. that is how long it has been.....lol....
it is ok tho, whenever I step inside one it costs me a couple hundred, so that is why I havn't moseyed down I-5 to Olympia....lol....it will be real hard to stay away when it is only 15 miles away.

Cabela's and Bass Pro seem to be aggressively expanding. A new Bass Pro opened last month in Harlingen, about 40 minutes from us... already been there 3 times. While we don't fish, both places have great outdoor clothing and boat stuff. It's a rare occasion when we can drive by either of those places without stopping "just to look around."

I don't need no stinkin' mall... give me Cabela's or Bass Pro. 8)

Happy New Year!

Jim

I am pulling my resume out of the closet, might be a good part time job when I retire in a few years, employee discount ya know!

Duly noted that Cabelas has only one L! Unfortunately I cannot edit the title of this thread!

I had forgotten that they were coming to Marysville. Now I know what that huge new building is going to be.

For us it was an exciting moment a few months back when we found out that Cabelas would be going in at Marysville/Tulalip. Trust me when I say that if you're headed towards the other Cabelas located down south, try to remember to take the north exit (I think it's #111) because I missed it. Let's just say that I got to see a lot of the neighborhood. End of story (Fargo).....Oh, BTW, my Dad when visiting us a few years ago called to say he was in town and staying at the TOO-AH-LIP ...took a few seconds to figure out what he was talking about but that's how it looked to him. Turned out it was the Best Western located across from the old casino. Never did tell Dad how to pronounce Tulalip.

Joe-

How about telling the rest of the U.S., now that it's safe to do so?

tu-lay-lip ?

Joe. :teeth :thup

Actually, it's:

too-LAY-lip.

nimrod-

Thanks! :wink

The Native American names can sometimes be a bit baffling to both pronounce and spell. :D

As can the Hawaiian words!

Joe. :teeth :thup

Last time I was in San Josey for Freejollies and Tort-tillas I didn't have a
problem (sorry my mother wouldn't teach us Spanish). I haven't had any problem
with Two-la-lips, Swim-on-ish, or Scagg-it. I guess I'm a natural :wink

Glad to see Cabela's. Last order to Midway USA they wanted $18.00 on a $37.00 order :sad

Jack... :smiled

Wow, great news that we will have a Cabela's closer to us.

Anyone not from Utah want to take a shot at how to pronounce Toole (a city west of Salt Lake)?
