Truck and trailer storage Prince Rupert

Any good tips on good secure truck and trailer storage in Prince Rupert?
I have heard of a locked interior facility, but could not find it on a search.
What I found were several locked lots near the Rushmore floats and launch ramp. Also some mention of a Propane and appliance shop.

We hope to be up there in about 14 days.

It's been 5 years since we stored the boat at the propane and appliance place located just outside the road going directly into Rushmore Marina, so can't remember the name of the place. Not all that much room there, but enough and at least then at a reasonable price. Its about a 1/4 mile from the launch. Believe this is the same location El and Bill used on their cruise out from there too.

This place is locked.

I've used the Propane distributor for long term parking on each of our trips out of PR. It worked out well. The people are nice and even permitted me to used their high pressure sprayer to hose off the trailer after launch, and the boat and trailer after coming back. Sorry, I don't have the number either, but they're easy to find. As you proceed toward the (steep)launch ramp the propane place will be on the right side a few hundred yards before the ramp.

Hi Doctor Bob,

I should be there about the same time as you or a few days earlier. Launching at Rushbrook and tying up at the PRRYC. Look for our green hull.

Interior storage is at the Philpott-Evitt Building Center downtown.

An update on storage in Prince Rupert:

I tried calling Philpott-Evitt without success. Seems they have changed and are now the Prince Rupert Home Hardware Center. I spoke with them this afternoon (250) 624-4357, and they no longer do vehicle storage - a pity!

BTW, since Philpott-Evitt's storage was full last summer, I stored truck and trailer at Four Seasons (250) 627-9702. Les dropped me off back at PRRYC after I left truck and trailer at their big locked yard near the industrial center, about two miles away. He picked me up at PRRYC and took me out to the yard in September as well. If the propane place doesn't work out this was a reasonable and secure alternative. Cost was about $440.
 
Thanks for the update, We cross to Canada in the AM, and should be in PR in 3 to 4 days. Hopefully the locked yard will be secure, since we have to leave some items in the truck.

Bob,

Dee and I used the same fenced and locked outside storage at the propane dealer as El and Bill and Casey. From downtown it is on the right and about 1/4 mile from the launch. They were kind enough to let us rinse the Knotty C right after we pulled it. I think we paid $200-250 to keep the truck and trailer there for about 4 weeks. It was much less than some of the other options in town.

Hi Bob,

It looks like you will be in PR ahead of New Moon. If I don't see you there, where might I expect to see Frequent Sea in the next week or two? I'll be heading for Ketchikan, Petersburg, and then Sitka, to pick up Cindy on July 2nd.
