A 23’ Cape Cruiser is for sale in Florida that has no trailer. Does anyone know what make of trailer fits this model? Are these boats the same as a c-Dory? I have not seen it yet. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have an 07 Cape Cruiser with a 2014 EZ Loader double axle trailer. The Model # TEZB 19 -22/24 4700. Torsion axles and electric over hydraulic brakes Good luck, Tom

Yes, the 23 Cape Cruiser is the same boat as the 23 Venture C-Dory. The Cape Cruiser was first made in 2006 and went out of production I believe in 2007. C-Dory was able to acquire the molds.

According to the C-Dory factory as of last May, it may still be a one year waiting list for an ordered new boat trailer. You may wish to check into this for yourself.

Make sure you get a Marine Survey on the boat if you decide to purchase. Let us know how it goes.

Almost any brand of trailer can be adapted to be utilized for the 23' Cape Cruiser/'venture. The Cape Cruiser was started by ex owners of the C Dory Brand. There was a non compete agreement when the C Dory name and brand was sold. A court awarded the molds for the 23 and 26 to C Dory as a result of litigation.

In S. Florida Owens and Sons makes an outstanding trailer. Sport Trail in Mississippi also makes an outstanding trailer. Float on is a good trailer. Trail Tite is often used in Florida. There are a number of local trailer dealers who can make a trailer in a few weeks. The axles are all the same, brakes all the same, extrusions are basically the same. The quality depends on how they are assembled and what components are used. Aluminum frame trailers are in vogue in the East. Galvanized trailers on the West coast of America are more popular.
