Steve, JoLee says thanks & she definitely has my attention. So far all is going as well as can be hoped & if it continues we plan on seeing you two up your way in the summer of 2014.

Jay

Winter is a good time for Jolee to be healing. Hopefully she'll be on her feet by summer.

The view looks a little different out there since you were here but not all that much since you got up here pretty early and watched things green up.

I am looking forward to seeing you two in 2014. I just don't know what you have left to see, Jay. I know of nowone save a few commercial fisherman who have been to all the places you've been and talk about a study in S.E. Alaska weather. Last summer was about the crummiest I remember. 2014 can't help but be better. Tell Jolee that I've got the big hot tub up and running so she'll be able to catch a quick boil with a view.

With any luck, I'll be able to swing more time to meet up with you out there this time. Take care of the girl and yourself.

In like a Lamb , out like a Lion they say. First day of spring, gusting 60k -70k SW, power was out for a couple of hours, few flakes showed up. Had almost thought of taking the cover off on the weekend. Soon but not today.

just as a person starts to adjust to the odd daylight hours, we have daylights savings time kick in. now its dark on the way to work again :?:

mid 30's this morning. warm compared to some areas, but still too cold for my bones. looking forward to those warm 16hr PNW days!

80's yesterday, 80's today and 80's tomorrow. That's why we winter in south Texas. Fishing in shorts and "T" shirts. I haven't had shoes on since Christmas, but next week back to Utah and reality. Meteorologic spring will be in May in Utah's mountains.

woke up to fresh snow today!

over an inch thick of hail had also rested on my windshield and melted/re-froze all around the wipers fully encasing them for about 1/2 hour

cold cold cold. I need to start pick up some winter fat for a more effective hibernation.

Snowing at the house and at work here in everet. Got over a inch so far. Not sticking to the roads very much. See we have the best weather here in washington. Even when it snows it only sticks to the grass and trees where its pretty

Okay I know I tried it my way. All through Southern California and Arizona. Cool boating all winter. We are in Helena Montana high today expected to be 27F. Low last nite 14 F. Next year south of 20 degrees. Texas or Maui. Brent has it figured out folks! I got shorts and flip flops aboard too. Perhaps south Florida. Brent we just came up Utah and it is some cold! Warmish aboard we're doing fine but that incessant roar of 30 knots outside is not good. The sounder is reading a temp of 32F at the moment. Lower than that it quits registering. We are dodging systems as we run north. Made a good move getting out of Idaho Falls wednesday as that front was inbound. Got over Monida pass elev 6900 ft ahead of it in slush. Dry on this side of the mountains. Dillon where we woke up Thursday am had a low of 12F. Way too cold. Our neighbor here at the rv park in Helena was with us back at Idaho falls and we're over for sundowners later. They were about ready to store the 5er and get a motel. But they are from Calgary so are going to tough it out. They were a half hour ahead of us getting clear of Idaho Falls. Their buddy elected to stay and is some snowed in now. Fun times in the mountains! Next winter much further south. Good luck to all of you with cold challenges. Send spring soon. Carolyn and George :xtongue

Yes George, you two are getting out of this part of the country just in time. It's 21 degrees here now with several inches of snow forecast & below zero for this weekend.
