TomCat in deck fish box

I was wondering if anyone has tried to install some type of seal to the in deck boxes on a TomCat. I have turned one
side into a live well type set up but would like to be able to keep our catch iced down in the other side. Water coming in the stern scuppers fills the box and melts the ice fairly quickly.
We are also thinking that we would like to come up and fish the lower Columbia for chinook this fall around the Astoria area. Would really appreciate any advice on best dates, where to launch, dock etc.
Thanks Rick

Congrats on the new TomCat. I am sure you are really going to enjoy it!
We have had ours since Jan. 2020 and love the ride. Still working on a few small issues.

Regarding the Fish Boxes, I drilled four 1/4" holes in the bottom of the gutters. It just drains into the bilge and is taken care of by the pumps. I had 2 8D house batteries under the rear seat so the scuppers were a problem. 1 3/4" rubber sink plugs took care of that. We were seldom in open Ocean conditions so the deck stayed dry and didn't need the scuppers to drain.

Ricka, I just figured out how to use the forum search feature. I know
I am a village idiot. Search tomcat fish boxes or just tomcat in general. Hours of reading. With so many wiser than me defeated by the fish box leak I am less than optimistic I will find a solution. Once ya get into the rabbit hole of search’s you can start checking posters tomcat galleries in case you needed any help with figuring out how to spend more money on your fine boat😂
