Tomcat in a Boatel?

We are thinking about moving up to a Tomcat from our 22 cruiser. We currently have our boat in a "boatel" where they lift the boat out of the water and put it on a rack with a giant forklift.

Does anyone know if keeping a Tomcat at a boatel has been done or is even possible? I know that a custom rack will need to be built, but can the boat be lifted under the bridge deck between the pontoons? If so, is it too narrow to do it safely?

You'll love the Tom Cat! We have our Tom Cat 25.5 in a simular Marina in Anacortes Wa. We stored a 22 cruiser with these folkes before buying the 25.5 They made an exception and took on the new boat. They don't want to handle additional cats as they are much more difficult to deal with.
I will try to post a photo, possibly it may show your "Boatel" it is being done.

I have seen Glacier Bay's which were kept in rack dry storage. The stess on the transom is spread out by the Armstrong Bracket--so that should not be a problem. We store ours on a lift, with the beams under the hulls, so that is not a problem. The question is the thickness of the glass of the wing deck. The TC 255 may also be significantly higher than the CD 22 (all of the accomidation is built on top of the wing deck, instead of the bottom of the hull.

Good luck.

Do they lift it with a travelift and slings? I didn't think that you could lift it with forks on the hulls due to the steep angle of the hull sides.

I tried to get Twin Bridges Marina, in Anacortes, to take a Tom Cat and they wouldn't do it. They use a forklift but they cradle the hull in it fore-aft, not port-starboard, and they were not willing to make an exception or modifications to accommodate the TC.
