Billy,

I am not sure of the Font, but I can send you a hi-res of the logo that you could send to your decal person who should be able to match it. Let me know and Merry Christmas.

Did we ever figure out what font it was?

The C-Dory logo probably originated in the late 70s or early 80s with the production of the first boats, so was likely a hand-drawn font by an artist or sign painter.

Corel Draw has a tool called "WhatTheFont" where you can do a screen grab of a font and it shows you the best matches from Myfont.com. I did such a search this evening and of the 35 best matches returned I felt that "Dilema MT Bold Italic" looked the closest (see comparison image below). This is not a standard font, but you can purchase for $35 at said website. I also think regular Georgia Bold Italic (already in any Microsoft application) is pretty close as well.

Might be: Cultura New Black Italic

You might also just try finding the "DORY" part. The "C" may be a different font, or art work.

Nicely done!

Good work! A few years ago a worker took a buffer to the raised Decal on our Tom Cat. It did not turn out well! A local vinyl letter shop was able to exactly replicate the original art work. There have been minor changes in the logo thru the years.
