The Weather in Seattle

THAT is adorable! Reminds me of a dog we had for 16 1/2 years...Mis-T a mix poodle, cocker, terrier and who knows what else...she used to run in the snow with her nose down in it and scoop it up, throwing her head in the air, then dip down and get some more. What a hoot!

That Baxter is too cool! Sophie justs eats the snow.

Now Minnie, she is older and wiser and dresses properly. Plus she doesn't sniff around the yellow snow.

The kids, on the other hand are, well, let's call it artistic.

"I know it is here somewhere. You would think pink would show up better in the snow!

Are you sure you didn't build that snow person yourself?
It's a balmy 16 degrees here this morning, not to bad, I've had to work in 30 below weather a few times so this isn't so bad.

I keep my boat in the harbor (that's harbour for you Canadians) at Blaine, Washington. Was planning a trip this weekend as the high has set in. It's cold, but calm and sunny.

My only problem now is that the whole harbor has frozen over. There's about 1/4 mile of ice between my boat and open water. Fortunately, that's not something that one has to deal with in the Northwest very often.

Extended forecast for Seattle is poor........until Thursday, January 25th, when
it's supposed to be bright and sunny. How cool is that!

Don't take this to the bank, but I thought I would throw this out as bone to chew on.

For you people up in Alaska, ten minutes of sunshine and above 20 degrees is considered a good day.

I've been on the Brat site here for the last 1/2 hour with my back to the window. I just happened to turn and look out the window.......guess what?....snowing heavily again. Here I thought that it was all in the melting process.......so much for "global warming" in Arlington, Wa.!

We are planing on driving from Colorado to Seattle next week for the SBS -- sounds like your mountains are getting heaps of snow -- any suggestions for best routes to follow to avoid slippery roads??
