The Pink Ribbon Comedy Tour

Catch 22

New member
I don't mean for this to be simply an advertisement, but a handful of brats have expressed interest in attending a show. Also I know there are many brats who have been effected by breast cancer and may enjoy supporting the cause. My mom is currently under going treatment for breast cancer and I know it effects a lot of people. Here is a link to our website and the tour dates (more to come in the Northwest). If you make it out to a show, be sure to say hi afterwards, it's always good to meet a new brat....

Kevin, Thanks for bringing this back up. My wife Sherryl is a survivor..from the big C I mean... she is also very durable having lived with and being married to me for over 30 years now. My mother "Mamma Byrd" is also a survivor too and unfortunately, my father was not. Here Here Poppa Byrd :beer :beer

Hope to see you in Memphis, Nashville, Auburn or Lexington.

When in Nashville 23&24 Feb, both locations are not but a short distance from the Nashville water front park city docks. Who knows...may be time for C-Pearl/Byrdman/Rob & Karen to get ran out of the house for a couple of nights for another road/water trip.

Byrdman

Glad to hear your ladies beat it. Keep in touch and I'll see you soon. Water road trip would be great. Can't wait to get on the boat again in april...

Kevin,

Travel safe, and keep 'em rolling in the isle. (Tried to keep this post nautical)

Hope to be able to catch you back in the PNW.

Got a night off in Memphis, TN tonight before our show tomorrow. We don't get too many nights off. Any Memphis brats have a good suggestion of what to do tonight?

Well, there is Beale Street....many options... The Rock & Soul Museum, of course Grace Lang gig and Elvis stuff..... That should take care of some time.

Or, find a nice bluff and watch the river traffic

This is getting funny... no pun intended.

The Zany show night on the pink ribbon site is listed as the 23rd, Tuesday.
The Vandy show night is listed (private showing) as the 24th, Wednesday.

But..on Zany's site...they have the gig listed on the 24th....which...is suppose to be the private event on Vandy.

Kevin... Talk to us man. C-Brats planing taking place.

Byrdman

Sorry about the confusion here...

This is the deal in Nashville as a few things have changed. We are only doing one show at Zanies on the 24th at 7:00. Then we will head over to Vanderbilt and do a late show for a group of fraternity houses that have booked us. They did rent out a theater, and are selling their own tickets for the event, and I believe they will be available to the general public (be aware, a show for a theater full of frat houses may get a little rowdy and dirtier than our typical show, gotta try and keep those boys on a leash). If you want to come to a show in Nashville, I'd suggest the one at Zanies, usually they are a great club, this will be an early show, before their usual show I think, so it may be light attendance, so going to that one would be much appreciated.

Let me know if you need anything else, feel free to call me or write me with anything. The shows are going great. We are in Tampa until Sunday, last night sold out at 250 people, so hopefully the rest of the weekend goes as well...

Kevin, Will more than likely see you at Zany's. Thanks for the call. Please send me a PM with our cell on it...as I inadvertantly hit the erese rather than keep button. I hate it when that happens. Also...when are you getting into town? Depending on weather and some other home issues, we may launch the boat on Wednesday after noon as to allow us to boat a bit on either...or both Wednesday or Thursday...

Byrdman

we will get in tomorrow night, pretty late. Wednesday we have promotional stuff we have to get done, I think we may be on the radio but I don't remember, but I know we have stuff to do for the college show. Unfortunately I think boating will be out of the question for me. When we are not on stage we spend 99% of out time making phone calls and sending e-mails, and if there's time left over we do things like laundry or sleep. i really appreciate the offer, I miss the water a lot. Thanks so much for your support, look forward to meeting you, let me know if you need anything.

Sorry about your schedule Kevin... and some friends plans have changed so I will not being going down town via the river...but, will make the Zany gig via car.

See you there. May bring Momma Byrd and the Brigners. Today is Mom's 79th B-Day and we will be taking her to dinner and some fun so this will work out nice too. Have not heard from Rob in Franklin, and Brother Mike and B are on the Loop somewhere in FL now...so, will be about 4-5 C-Brats there at Zany's. :thup :teeth

Sorry, Mom did not offer to do your laundry...something about....Hello (or it could have been two words that sound like hello)... She is taking the birthday card on the laundry help. So, yall will just have to come back thru sometime when your done and can enjoy the waters a bit.

Byrdman

Kevin, I would say I am sorry we will miss your show at Zanie's in Nashville, but Brenda and I are having a REALLY great time on the west coast of Florida!!! We have been on the Stienhatchee River, the Suwanee River and are now at rest in the Crystal River (home of the Manatees) where we will probably be for a couple of weather days. Good luck with your show and watch out for the Vandy frat guys...it's a law school and they must gain experience!!! Kinda like "I got friends in low places" :) :beer :cigar  . Be safe  and we are thinking ...how 'bout that Kevin, GIVE HIM A HAND!!!!!

Kevin,

I've sent your press release - after talking to staff - to the two university public radio stations (both the old-guy rock and the incomprehensible student music stations) as well as the local Komen group (no phone or email response from them as yet). My wife is sending it through her channels at UK hospital to the Markey Cancer Center and others. I've sent it to about 50 on my email list and the past-commander of the local Power Squadron has sent it on to the local squadron membership with a supportive note.

Hopefully, there'll be more than just my wife and I at the show. If we're it, though, could I just talk to you about practical fiberglass techniques???

Best of luck man,

T

Hey Kevin,
How did the Zannie's and the Vandy gigs go? Hope your stay in Nashville was pleasent, and the crowds enthusiastic and loud!!! Let us know how it went.

Honesty, the Zanies show in Nashville was weird, just a weird energy in the room. I have had the flu for three days and really did not do my best, sorry to Byrdman and friends for that. The show at Vanderbilt was quite different. 150 College kids and some booze, enough said.

Tom, your effort in Lexington is amazing, thank you for that. Regardless of how many people it yields, your support means a lot, and we can talk fiberglass anytime.

Rolling into Auburn, another college show tonight should be fun.
