On Friday April 6, 2001 our First Mate and at the time 11 year old daughter and I cruised over to the very first C-Dory Gathering which was held at the Langley Marina (Langley, Wa.). It was at that time that we first met several of the C-Dory owners that we had only "conversed" with on the old C-Dory Owners Group Site. Since Carol (the Admiral) was in Florida visiting family at the time, this was a father/daughter venture to be remembered. Several of the C-Dory ladies took Jessica "under their wings" during this gathering and saw that she enjoyed a good time with all those crazy C-Dory adults.

I'm happy to inform those of you that remember that gathering (and those of you that have met Jessica) that today that little girl is celebrating her 21st Birthday with us.

And congratulations to mom and dad, too. I know from very recent experience that it isn't easy getting them past 14.
