Testing Farmed Salmon

Well, I guess if the BC government won't address the issue, then the Canadian Federal level can and should. And then take the issue under federal authority, over ruling BC's failure to address and take a stance.

Much like NOAA in the U.S., the Canadian Dept of Fisheries & Oceans has the ultimate federal authority in Canada regarding the conservation and protection of wild fish stocks in coastal waters.

And much like the U.S., when it comes to fisheries management, politics always trumps (sorry) biology. NOAA typically only steps up under threat of or as a result of a lawsuit. Apparently, CDFO is no different.
