Table support leg

I have noticed that the support leg under the table has started to rust from spray entering through the open window. Since the metal isn't stainless and isn't painted it must be wiped down after every trip to prevent the onset of rust. Has anyone else experienced this problem and does anyone have a solution other than powder coating the table leg?

Keep it sprayed with "Corrosion Block"
