Hello again from Iowa

I/we just purchased a 2007 16’ Cruiser that only has 15.4 hours and has spent most all it’s life in storage.

Only one problem, apparently at some time a Kicker was added and the swim step was partially dismantled.

From the back of the boat looking forward, I have the left bracket and the step itself but not the right bracket/brace.

The swim step itself marked “AFI” and is 15” X 17-1/4” wide.

Anyone have one of these bracket/braces or know where part/s be purchased?

Some of those AFI swim steps had one support on the bottom and one on the top--a lot has to do with interfering with the outboard. You can make your own aluminum or SS bracket if you find someone with a tube bender, or even make a simple brace, just flattening the ends of the tubing, and then bending it to the proper angle. Looking at your photo in the album, you only need the bottom brace, which can be flattened tubing on each end, and then bent to the proper angle.

If you cannot order or fabricate the part yourself, any railmaker, who makes safety railings, bow pulpits, etc., can fabricate the part for you.
