Inquired info from Porta Boat,sent me pricing 8ft $1900 10ft $2100 12ft $2200,they also sell outboards. So I asked about internal tank models Suzuki 2.5 hp 30# 4 stroke $735 4 and 6 hp 4 stroke 55# each $1140 and $1440. Didn't know the 4 and 6 had internal tanks just passing on info if anyone is interested. Don't know if prices are good deal or not. Think they had a few other brands .

I bought my 2.5 suzuki on special for $650 Cad. Usual price including taxes is closer to a grand. BTW, its a great little motor for the dink.

Like the tank being built in,good to hear you like it. Lifted one at a dealer nice and light for sure. What is Cad hope to make a choice by next season.Just went and reread e-mail Porta Bote sent me Those prices include taxes and free shipping it says.

I also have the Suzuki 2.5hp. Great little engine. Ours has very little use and I start it up once or twice in the winter and starts right up every time.

I bought my Suzuki 2.5 on sale at Cabela's. They had a combination sale price, no sales tax, Father's Day free shipping deal. FedEx set in on my porch for $600.

You must be very, very careful with keeping the gas clean and fresh. The carb jet is so tiny that a gnat's eyebrow will plug it up. I sometimes use mine to troll from an 8' kicker, so I need it to idle for several hours. It won't do that with gas that's more than a few months old.

I liked my electric trolling motor because of the quiet. But the Suzuki 2.5 with a full tank of gas is much lighter and easier to carry down to the beach than a group 24 battery. Plus, it will quickly cover more distance and troll several hours longer.
