Sun hat

Thumbs up for the Tilly Air-Flo!

Hey Mark-

Living in Fairbanks, I'd think you'd prefer a hat with NO AIRFLOW and a Mini-Wallas heater in it! (Or a Webasto,Espar, Toyotami, etc.)
(Maybe we could start a debate on which one would be better, eh?) :wink

Oh, sorry, a warm tropical day in Fairbanks, today; presently minus 4.7 degrees Fahrenheit, no problem! :smiled

Jim wants to know how many dolphins you have following your boat?

And Pat says screw the fricky-dicky dolphins! :amgry

Nice talkin' with ya!

Joe. :teeth :thup

Touche' Joe, you're in your usual rare form and I can appreciate that. As to my Tilly, bear in mind that it
doesn't get deployed until I take the snow fly off the boat, thus missing the cooler temps. Tilly reigns
in the summer and hibernates the winter.

It only hit -50 once this winter so no "personal" heaters required. I thought I spotted a dolphin behind
the boat the other day but it turned out to be a short legged moose.

Good to jaw with you.

Mark

Yes, Mark a lot of fun!

I'm still waiting for an endorsement of twins from Harvey!

Easy, cheap humor on a Monday afternoon in winter.

What else is there to do?

Joe. :teeth :thup

I have had a Tilley for years, the older heavy type. They are hard to beat. I leave it on the boat. After several months of going around in circles, I have finally tracked down C-Brat baseball hats. I got a 22 cruiser with blue trim on the front and my name on the back. I wonder if my missus will let me wear it in bed ?
If anyone is interested in ordering some, email Jennifer at Five Star Embroidery five.star@shaw.ca She will be able to email you styles, colours etc. Cost about $18, shipping extra.

Martin.

That's some good advice. When I was very young I was stationed on a coral island in the West Indies. Nothing but clear blue sky and clear blue water. After a few months I was a bronze god complete with wavy black hair and an Errol Flynn mustache. Sure I heard something about possible harmful effects of the sun, but, even if it was true, it would be way down a long road, at least 20 years away. I'm pretty sure there was no such thing as sunblock, unless it was the DDT they sprayed in our tents every night while we rested in our racks. Anyway, its now over 50 years later, the bronze is gone, the wavy hair is gone, the mustache is grey and scraggly. Do what the man says, that long road now seems amazingly short.

Good story

Joe, I have two C-Dory Baseball caps (does that count as twins :?: :P
and I rarely wear either. Seems I'm allergic to not being able to see UP. I do keep a boonie hat on the boat and it does have twins, -- the boat that is.

No extra pay for the twins today, but I'm sure they are both purring.
