Still got it after all of these years

Hope mine looks that good in 2044!

HA! When you put it that way it makes my boat seem very, very old.

On another note, I still haven't figured out how to make a picture appear in my post.

Somebody else will have to explain it, but it is easy...What a beautiful boat!

looks very well kept. whos idea was the port side bench seat on the cockpit? dont think I have seen that before.

Well, you can't see it from the picture that you were looking at, but look here:

http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_ ... _photo.php

there are benches on both sides. They have cushions too, which makes for two great sleeping berths. Underneath the benches we store the gas tanks, the batteries, life jackets, tools, ropes, anchor (the old C-dories didn't have an anchor locker). The benches were put in by two owners previous. They had them built professionally and they are very nice.

On a side note....I really like that cleaning table you made. Do you have any clearer picts of it? Something like that is going to be my next mod. Right now, it's a huge bloody mess in the cockpit when we try to clean our catch.

I like it but does it get in the way of fishing? seems you would have to kneel on the cushions to net a fish or even set a downrigger?
That was my thought too - not to mention the blood and fish slime on the cushions. I suspect that fishing is the primary use for this boat.

Well, give me a little credit! We take the cushions off when we fish. Actually, the only time I have the cushions on is when I anticipate that I will be sleeping on the boat and enough people will be sleeping on the boat such that the v berth will be full. In fact the cushions are stored in my garage right now (the boat is in a slip in the marina). The cushions also fit nicely pushed up agains one wall in the v-berth, so we just pull them out for sleeping.

We use the boat mostly for crabbing and fishing. Without the cushions, you can stand right on the benches to crab or fish or net fish, or kneel on them if you want.

I think we lose a little bit of fishing space with the benches there. We can fish two in the cockpit comfortably, perhaps we could fish three if the benches weren't there.

I think its great storage, might even build a fish box into part of it. I am looking to create some built in storage to my 27 and always looking for ideas. It must be great for sitting at anchor and reading .

Great minds think alike. I was thinking of either building a "fish box" or actually removing part of the bench to put in one of those big coolers with a cushion. It's actually great place to sit while underway too. The cabin serves as an excellent wind block and, except for the loud engine, it's a nice place to cruise on sunny day.
