just a fyi

Walmart offers the Stearns 4-Person Inflatable Boat for $29.96. Shipping costs $9.97, or choose free Site-to-Store. Even with shipping, it's a $10 drop and the lowest total price we could find. Sales tax is added where applicable. This boat features quick inflation/deflation with a Boston valve and large push-in valve.

For the kids in the swimming pool? May be OK, as long as they can swim well.

Basically I would not trust my life to that type of a thin layered vinyl inflatable. How well do the air matresses last? Same type of construction.

I don't know four people I'd put in that raft... Well...maybe my mother-in-law....

Ha ha ha!

As one who dabbled in those things early in my boating experience, they are at best "temporary containers of air". I once even found a slightly higher end model that had a pipe structure to accept an engine. I used it for a season until I accidentally kicked the end of one of the pipes upon exiting. I removed a giant piece of flesh from my foot that required hours of pressure and elevation to stop the bleeding. For the following season I bought a real inflatable, in my case a 2-person Mercury inflatable and the thing has been rock solid.

It's fine for the kids to play with on the beach or near the boat but not as a real dinghy or life raft.

Brent, thank's for the heads up but I'll pass on this one.
Walmart is notorious for compelling vendors to cut unseen corners.
