Stainless steel plate

Tom, a light is a nice add for dead head avoidance at night. I had mine put out there in a stainless plate welded to the rails and later got a longer bow roller and delta anchor. Now the flood reflects off the galv back of the delta and I wish I had mounted the light up about 4". I will also paint the anchor black to cut down on the glare.
Also, if you get a go light or like plastic body light with a remote, I recommend recycling the snap on cover right away. One evening I got home before dark after a rough ride. The remote apparently had been sitting face down and had clicked on. I did not use the light that day, and around 8pm my neighbor called to ask if I had left a light on. I went out to find the cover melted to the glass and I estimate that fire was a few short hours away.
Anyway, dump the cover and when not in use face the light back to the cabin and you will never do what I did.
 
Thanks for the advice on the cover. If I fac the light back toward the cab I would end up blinding my self when I need the light the most. :shock:
 
OK - you guys are in the mail. Priority mail, no less, since it was just a few cents more.

I have no more stainless plates and Georgia Pacific will not let me get any more....sorry to the others.

I don't know how I'm gonna keep the crabs in the pot now.
