Hey Norm, Do you use Loctite on those hex screws. I've always seized the pins on my anchor shackles but that looks unworkable with these swivels.
 
BTW, if you want a good screw (anchor) - one that won't fall apart in a year, this is a very good price on a SS screw anchor.

Pretty good price. I just dropped $300 on SS hardware. Not that I'm a freak about this stuff, but I know what this stuff costs on regular prices and since my boat is new, and I'm adding a fair amount of modificaitons/upgrades, I know what I'm going to be spending in the months ahead so I was happy to find it on sale today (with free shipping).

I've never had an occasion or reason to use Loctite on these swivels. I won't dress out an anchor rode assembly w/o these swivels they are that good and make life so much better, for me, the rode, the ropes, the anchors, the hole nine yards.
 
And Pete, not everyone is going to agree w/ me on swivels; and, to each their own. A swivel might add another weak link into the mix (and, it can if you buy the cheap-o crap-o stuff). However, I've done a fair amount of anchoring - both on wrecks (in particular) as well as in some of the nasty stuff (e.g. it wasn't crystal clear sandy beaches). When you find yourself turning the boat around several times, tugging, bending, maneuvering to get the anchor freed and get on your way - well, for me the swivels take the snags out of the rode and assist in getting it out and onto my boat.

But again, to each their own. Many folks have lived for YEARS w/o ever having the need for one. But since electricity was invented and polarity and GFCI plugs were developed, many folks like the additional "features".

No clue. I did not glean from their homepage the products were made in the USA. I only noticed the 365 day unconditional guarantee and return shipment address location was in CA.
