Boy did I find the guy..... I am working on my sidecar and needed some mounts rebuilt....so I went to visit a fellow in Redding Cal. who I know... WOW ! This guy does fantastic work...he has an ancient bender and can bend stuff that I though was impossible to bend...like square tubing...without cracking or bulges....tight bends... awesome...he welds stainless like a machine...what a craftsman.

If you need custom handholds, or custom brackets this guy can do it...and he is really inexpensive...way cheeper than anyone I have ever done business with in a machine shop.... really worth checking out.

Cliff's Welding and Fabrication Redding Calif. (530) 241 6432

Anyone need a tuna tower ? or a custom radar mount...he's you guy.

Maybe he will take a trip to Alaska......But, while I don't think I would call it a work of art, I weld stainless all the time and it comes out fine. With the right welder and some practice it really isn't too hard to weld stainless. Aluminum requires preheating, a good spool gun, and a better welder than I can afford.

We have good fabricators in AK, they just pay themselves rediculously well. For instance, I took an aluminum RV bumper that needed just a touch of welding on a seam to Greatland Welding in Palmer and they charged me just under 200 bucks. I don't think it could have taken a half hour for them to do it....But, they did a great job and hats off to them for finding a niche where they can charge just about whatever they want.
