Launch at Sanford delayed a few days. Dee has had chest pains for about a week. She has spent the last couple of days in the hospital. Today she will have a angiogram and hopefully it is reflux and not cardiovascular.
Better to have it checked out here in Ocala than on the St. Johns.

:cry Very sorry to hear that! Please take good care of one another! :hug :hug2 . Much better to have her in a safe place than out on the water. Hopefully it's not serious and you'll be on your way soon in the warm weather!

All the best...

Sure sorry to hear that Dee is having chest pains -- trust it is nothing serious. Keep us posted and we're keeping Dee in our thoughts and prayers. Good luck.

Sorry to hear this news. Dealing with a medical situation at any time can be distressing - even more so away from home. Please let Dee know that the good wishes of many Brats are sent for you both. Take care.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Thank you all.
Dee had the angiogram with the cath something or other. Had about 75% blockage on the right side and they put in a stent. All went well and they will release her in the morning. The Doctor said she could wash the boat on thursday. He also told me to stay away from house cleaning. I don't know how he knew I had very little experience at that. His name is Dr Feldman. I asked him if he was related to Marty Feldman. He wasn't. Great Doctor, real sense of humor. He had Dee talking all the way through the procedure. I and a friend watched through the window glass and on two TV screens . It is an amazing world we live in. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It is easy to be a little light hearted now that it is done and fixed. The weekend was not all that great. You brats are a great bunch to turn to.
We got to go to Mims for a few days , it will give her a chance to rest up some.

She has no heart damage

An addendum:
Also we were told the symptom for ladies is a lot different than men. Any pain in the chest area or neck even if like reflux or hiatal hernia should be checked as soon as possible.

Very good news! Maybe give her Thursday off from boat washing and spend the day adoring each other. :D Great to know that you'll be out cruising again soon.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Whew! So glad you went in to have it checked.

For those of you who don't want to wait until 'warning signs' from a blocked artery to heart, pay $200 or so and have a heart scan. Takes 10 minutes, the price of a few tanks of gas, and the result will tell you if there is buildup of plaque in the hearts arteries --- and if so, you can take steps before serious trouble. "A little prevention is worth a pound of cure"

Sure glad all's well, Dee -- have a great cruise on the St. Johns!! We have happy memories of cruising down in FL with Capt D and the good times visiting with you both.

Glad the procedure worked out so well for Dee!

Spend some quiet time together counting your blessings, then get back to your cruising with renewed enthusiasm and appreciation of your joy together!
