Any C-Dory heading South this Spring on the Intercoastal Waterway or St Johns river that needs assistance, logistics, moving trailer, docking for the night or just help with a breakdown, feel free to give me a call at 904-612-2983. I live on the St Johns approximately 15 miles south of Jacksonville, Florida and offer this in some small way to pay back all the great information I've received from this site.

That is so nice. George and Penny said something similar in another post for anyone traveling through the Keys. What a great group this is! We probably won't be doing long cruises like that for some years to come (unless I have a very rich uncle on his deathbed that I don't know about!), but I sure appreciate the spirit it represents.
All the best,

Don Z,

You must be near our old stomping grounds. Lived near Doctor's Inlet (Frog Hollow Lane and Grasshoper)), and the kids grew up on the St. Johns. Great boating country.

Dusty, right as usual. Live across from Doctor's lake, 150 degrees and 3 miles. By the way, remember Whitey's fish camp? Yep...still there.

Don Z: Going to have to write you down... I'll be heading up the Grand Ol Nashville/Mt. Juiet TN gathering in the first part of Apr05. Then, Bill & El (Halcyon) and some others if interested my venture south via TN river, out Mobile Bay area... If I am fully retired... I plan to swing around FL and possibly over to the Bahama's on ol' Sawdust/Dusty's TomCat now named FreeByrd. Slap it on a trailer and join us in Nashville. I keep my boat docked in Lake Martin, Alexander City, AL. 750 shore miles, home of the Hank Williams song Kowliga...and that is the name of the marina I keep FreeByrd in the slip waiting to go. Halcyon spent a week on this lake prior to their "Little Horseshoe" trip. Helped them with maps and trailer hoping to help make there trip do-able. Looking forward to seeing Brent on the southcoast soon on Cygnet. Fishing with them end of month Jan05, then they plan to work their way east. Have also offered to make a coastal run and help them trailer hope if they need too. Hope to meet you soon. Byrdman on FreeByrd

Don Z -
You might have both FreeByrd and Halcyon visiting you sometime this spring. We love the St. John's River, and will probably take a swing upriver as we come north along Florida's east side. Thanks for the kind offer. El and Bill on Halcyon
