Southeastern NC cruising question

We're planning a trip to Beaufort, NC some time in the next month or so and wanted to see if anyone had good Marina recommendations for that area. We'd like to find a marina with full services close to down town. We also plan to spend a day out at Cape lookout as well.

Any info would be much appreciated!

I stayed at Beaufort Dock 252-728-2503 on the way home from the gathering which is right in the heart of things. It was full service with a fair shower house. It's a little pricey $50 per night but I understand the prices go down in off season which may be now. It's only about a block from the NC Maritime Museum which is really interesting and lots of restaurants and the usual tourist traps. They also have a loaner car but everything is within walking distance.

Depending on when you decide to go, let us know. We are itching to get back down that way.

Are you planning to cruise in or trailer to? We could probably join you for a long weekend. I am hobbling about after a recent injury right now and wouldn't be able to do it for a couple weeks. Thanksgiving week is definitely out.
 
It would be great have other folks to join us! Thanksgiving is out for us a well. We haven't set a definite date yet, We'll make a decision soon and propose a date.

We plan to boat up from Hampstead, NC. Probably travel up on a Friday and return on Sunday.
