SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Shouldn't be hard to find one Jim. It just needs a vertical post about 4" x 1" and they make rail mounts that may do the trick for your arch. Or if you have a plate where you can mount a surface base like I am using here. I will send you a close up of the antenna so you can see what is required.

They also have sailboat mast bases for it that might work.

Spent two awesome afternoons cruising the north end of Lake Washington and at St. Edwards park anchoring up for lunch. Found a couple of new anchoring spots that I was more confident about poking into with the 16 (shallow), and I am really excited for summer and some lazy days swimming there. On a side note, I bet that would make a really neat spot for a quick day gathering in the summer. I often meet freinds or family there and anchor or raft up together and poke around the shoreline and swim. Anyway I got to know the new boat better and just really enjoyed this february weather.

I kinda did the same thing Sark. I put Barquinho through the first real fishing test run. I had both engines worked on last week and this was the first time I got to test them out.

The overheat problems on the 40hp have been solved and that engine is running sweet. I'm very happy with its performance.

Started the 6hp kicker up for the first time and like my mechanic said, it's a "sweet little motor." It was purring like a kitten, I ran it for nearly two hours straight on Lake Washington.

All in all, it was a great day on the water. The weather was spectacular!!!

Peter- Sounds nice!! I'm going to get out on the lake soon and try for some cutts, I've only fished it a few times but it was prety fun and close to home. My old arima had a 6 hp evinrude 2 stroke on it that was the same, just bombproof and always started/ran great. I'm ordering my kicker today for the 16. Hope to have it next week and be fishing soon after.

Today I added a new kicker and bracket to the 22 Angler. Using the Minijacker motor bracket worked out great and I recommmend the install to anyone wanting to add a kicker mount that solves the problem of fit..and ease of installment.

I was 3 point releases behind on my C80. I upgraded the S/W today, and a freebie fish 'n' chip I got at SBS 2 years ago started working again! Watch out LW cutthroat

Great pictures Phil, Merry and Margaret!

Back in the early 70's I owned a home in Redondo Beach and raced in a sailboat that was homeported at the King Harbor Marina. Beautiful pictures with the mountains in the background! (Not often do I remember the mountains being visible due to the smog back then).

Your boat looks super!

Until today I haven't had the opportunity to post that I had another super cruise last Friday.

It was a beautiful clear Northwest day for the cruise from Everett to Seattle. One of my work partners joined me for the day and we tied up at the Bell Harbor Marina and had lunch at the Fisherman's Restaurant on the water. Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, the Olympics, and the Cascade Mountains were all clear and visible. It was a smooth ride to Seattle in the morning at 18-20 knots and a "bumpy" ride back in the afternoon/evening at 8 knots.

Got out friday evening for a short cruise to Kirkland with Jaimie, had a great thai dinner and "camped out" on the 16. Also spent the afternoon on saturday on the hook at St. Edwards park grilling burgers and enjoying the sunshine with Jaimie and the boys. Found a really neat spot that looks like good soft sand to try beaching the boat at some point. Then spent a hour or so breaking in the new kicker. Looking at the ten day forcast I'm especially glad I got out, saturday was just awesome.

Sounds like you had a great time with the family Sark. Yeah, the weather was absolutely gorgeous on Saturday. I'm really loving this early spring we've been experiencing this year. For those of you who don't live in the Seattle area, this has been a very unusual but very pleasant surprise for all of us webfooted northwesterners!

What kind of kicker did you end up buying?

Peter

Peter,

I went with a 6 hp fourstroke tohatsu longshaft, and had the charging adapter added as I'm going to stick with a single battery. Only ran it just over an hour starting the break in period. But so far I like it, right now it's just hanging off the transom, but I think I 'll do a mount of some type, maybe the garelick board or something as I did notice at speed it causes a little spray back into the cockpit. And yes this spring weather has been nice, it was t-shirt weather when we were on the lake saturday, for early march thats pretty dang good.

How about a 16 footer get together on Lake Washington sometime soon? We could all meet at Coulon Park or Ivars and compare notes in person.

After all....

Sark? I didn't mention Kirkland only because there are no floating docks and some of us have trouble climbing up when the lake is still down. But it's still a possibility if enough people favor it.

This isn't "size discrimination", is it?
