Our snow is melting away quickly but we've have more than we need already for this year.

Well, here we are in SoCal, with the first rain since early December. View our big storm of the year:

We may get an inch of rain. No flooding yet, but it's down to 50 degF.

No snow in Southwestern Illinois, but wish it would have been. At around 3:30 yesterday afternoon, it started raining and freezing. My ride from Edwardsville, Illinois here to Greenville (38 miles) usually takes around 45 minutes (little towns in between, and I stay off the interstate). Last night, it took an hour and 45 minutes. My daughter was coming home from Springfield, Illinois...usually takes an hour and 15 minutes. It took her 2 and a half hours.

Snow is a lot more fun than ice...that said, we are blessed...everyone made it home without incident...always thankful for that.

And in Fall City, WA...Daydream in our driveway. And this was as the snow and ice were melting! Trees were down over all the roads, power was out (it probably still is, I am in Omak right now, not sure, ran the generator for a couple of days!).

Originally I am from Cahokia Illinois, near St Louis. Looking at these brings back a lot of good memories but not enough to give up the weather here in south Louisiana.
