Size of Boat Lettering

Hello All:

Time to order the lettering for the name of my new 22' Cruiser. What size fits the available space best? 5" ? 6" ?

I noticed c-dancer's lettering in their profile, and it's a great size.

It would be nice if others could tell me what size in inches their boat names are as applied to the hull. That would allow me to review a few photo albums and place my order with Prism Graphics.

Thanks for the compliment. Our lettering is 6" high. Are you going to be ordering the same graphic as you had on the 16' because those letters looked plenty big. Also, have you taken delivery on the new Rabbit's Hutch?

Yes, same graphic as the 16', but as I recall, that boat had only 4" lettering. I really like the size of the name on yours Peter. Looks as if 6" is the winner...

I spoke to the dealer today. I will be taking delivery this weekend. I'm really excited. Beaming like a new daddy.
 
I just measured mine...the are 5" high....but then I only have six letters so it is fairly short.... I think 5" is pretty large...I have seen lots in 3" and 4" but the 5" are pretty bold...

Valkyrie's name seems to be the largest of the fleet, so far. She's in the water, as of today, so I can no longer run out and measure, but ours are at least 8 inches, maybe 9.

It is bold, but we're easy to see!

check out the Hammerhead, done by fiberglass specialties in north tahoe, matching cf numbers too and a shark on each side.
best $500 I ever spent ;)
 
You're right Joel and Colobear, only the capital C was 6". The rest were obviously smaller. Hammerhead, I love your graphics. Great job!

Our Letters are 7 inches high and stretch almost 33 inches long. Your name is longer than ours so you should take that into consideration, too. We love the way our letters look.

After taking into account the 22' Cruiser's space available, versus quantity of letters in the Rabbit's Hutch name, Prism Graphics is cutting the name in 5 1/2" letters. Should allow for nice visibility.
