Shootings at Canadian Parliament and War Memorial

Thinking of our Canadian brats. A soldier guarding Canada's War Memorial, (like Unknown Soldier guards), was shot and killed today, at least one other shooter penetrated Canada's Parliament building and shots were fired in the building.

thoughts and prayers for our Canadian friends and neighbors

I'm so sorry this has happened. My thoughts are with you all.

I'm a U.S. citizen, and on September 11, 2001, I happened to be in a small marina in Canada (BC). The local folks there were so empathetic and supportive, and took us under their wing a bit (wi-fi etc. were not so prevalent, so they helped us to get news, etc, in addition to just being friendly).

Thoughts and prayers for those involved, and admiration for our friends north of the border. This is a terrible incident and would be anywhere.

A soldier paid with his life, the ultimate price, in a peaceful country. We can never know when our time is up, but we can live to do our best every day. He brought honor to his country and his service.

Salute,

Harvey

We are very lucky to have such good neighbors to the south.
Thank you for the thoughts.
It takes a small sick type of person to shot a soldier on guard at a war memorial.

I was watching this break on the news at 10:30 this morning. Thought about posting it here, but hesitated in case some might think it was out of place(on a boating forum).

THANK YOU Patti & Barry for considering this worthy C Brat material. Thanks also to Marty, Sunbeam, Tom, Harvey and any other C Brats who are thinking of their Canadian brothers at this time.

Sincerely,
Robert H. Wilkinson

Thank you to all our American brothers and sisters for your thoughts and prayers. My son is serving in the Canadian military and is about the same age as the soldier shot today. He first served in Afghanistan and now here at home. I am sure he is on high alert today wherever he is.

Our sons and daughters who are standing up to defend our freedoms and our countries are clearly targets.

We stand with them and with all the families who stand behind them. As a military family these thoughts seldom leave us. Our prayers are especially with the family who lost their son today.

Thank you good friends. I'm at a loss for words. Such senseless acts. Our thoughts and prayers are for people in service everywhere
