hello to all, just put a list of many items for sale in classifieds. call or email for pictures and/or questions. happy shopping.

Yup - a two post "new member" :wink

Forget the products, I just need to know where to forward my social security number of credit cards....

unbelievable!! i change careers due to the economy and the dealership i worked for going out of business and i am literally selling this stuff at rock bottom prices and now i'm a spammer. no problem, my list is deleted and i'll sell it elsewhere. my intentions were good and i could have saved some boaters a lot of money, but nevermind.

A little harsh guys, don't you think? What happened to, "just be nice"?

So are we saying that new posters shouldn't be allowed to sell items in the for sale forums? Hmmm...

If the guy was legit it was definitely harsh, but for post 1 and 2 to be one liners advertising products would appear to indicate a spammer.

Peter, here's my two cents worth on the situation. First, I am sorry that the fellow lost his job. That shouldn't happen to anyone. Second, when it appears that a person has signed up solely for the purpose of selling things, I am suspicious of the intentions. There was nothing in his post that made me think otherwise.

I don't think my actions violated the "just be nice" mantra, but I could have sent him a PM to find out what was up, and to assume some innocence.

I do appreciate your feedback and point of view.

Steve

No problem Steve, Matt. I wasn't pointing anyone out in particular, it just seemed like we jumped on him pretty quickly.

Peter

Dang--- you mean I missed out on the fun :?: :(
I'll have to pay more attention to the posts.

It seems clear to me "capt4stroke" joined solely to offer his stuff for sale. Last time I checked that's not the purpose of the forum. Heck, some "vendors" pay the site for ad space - check the upper right of the screen.

FWIW: I missed logging in one day and was 161 posts behind sooo I'd rather not have to read posts that I don't expect to be here. :cry

At least it's boat related, may even be some good buys there. It's not like he wants to date us, (is it? )

If I recall from the short time the post was up, he was offering ss props for $200. Not a bad boating deal at all.

Not prolong this agony, but if you'd like to contact the fellow for any of his shop manuals or props, you can email him here:
