I have a couple of small stainless steel items I need fabricated. Does anyone know of a place in Seattle who can do a good job fast and cheap?

I did a quick Google search and it came up with quite a list. I'm just trying to narrow it down a bit.

if its thin gage stuff i can cut and bend small stuff , if its thicker , i use north park heating in lake forest park 206 365 1414, if it needs to be machined or welded, try glens welding in lynnwood 425 743 2226, i have a metal shop (shoreline sign and awning) and can do just about anything with aluminum and some steel but stainless is not something i work with a ton, depending on what you need i may be able to help

Pete,
It's been 15 years since I've worked in the area.
University Mechanical used to have a couple of good welders for stainless.
There was a small boat yard in Everett that did good work.
I forget the name, but there was a shop on Pacific Hiway in Kent that specialized in stainless. I went in as a third party inspector and certified them for Boeing years ago.
Most of the shops I inspected was mostly structural steel.
You might check in Ballard, there was a couple shops there that worked with stainless for the fishing fleet.
Not much help- sorry.

Thanks for the replies Kevin and Roger. Actually, both of the projects I'm thinking of probably don't need to be stainless steel and they're both thin guage so I might give you a call Kevin. Thanks for the info and offer.

And Roger, I did talk to a shop in Ballard so your recommendation was a good one, even after 15 years. :wink

cool, wilson machine on elliot avenue has keyed some drive shafts for my race boat too, they have a lot of heavy equipment there, and could probly do what you need, not sure about welding though...
