Seattle Boat Show

G, to keep your balls from bounceing on the hull just leave them in the water a ft or two. then swing the downriggers forward, if you have swival bases ) to keep the them out of the way while landing the fish. Works well.

Yes I do.

I mean some of the advice you get around here couldn't be found anywhere else. "For sure, for sure," as Mary Jane Burns used to say.

Yeah, don't you just hate it when your balls bump against the boat!! :star :star

But thanks, normally I do leave the ball in the water, but this time somehow the fishing line became wrapped in the little red stopper beads threaded my fishing line and and took both rigger line and fish line into the spool. I let the rigger line out a bit to clear the spool line . While doing that I was going about 1.5 mph and the wind gusted and turned the boat. I was fishing alone- just to many things to do at one time and only 2 hands. :embarrased

For anyone who is interested, I was in about 98 feet of water, let the ball bounce off the bottom, brought it up about 5 feet. Used a cookies N cream 3.5 spoon 42 inches behind a 11" Red Racer flasher

So, I guess the thing is , don't fish alone, have another pair of hands available. So.... anyone want to go out with me this week? But, I fish out of a Hewescraft Ocean Pro as I sold my C-Dory :xlol

(I moved my post here to the correct Boat Show thread, since this is the marijuana thread, not the Boat Show thread.)
