Sea Choice Imported vs. Domestic Mushroom moorings

I will be moving to a new water area this upcoming season and will need to put in a (permanent) mushroom mooring system. Mine will be a 250 lb mushroom mooring with the requisite chain, shackles, etc., etc. I service my own moorings on scuba. The areas I have moored in the past required a concrete block system (the local harbor masters determine the required tackle).

My question is about the quality of the imported Sea Choice mushroom moorings. I don't have any first-hand experience with them and was curious if anyone here has used them. The price of a domestic mushroom mooring is double that of Sea Choice.

I have not used either of the mushroom anchor systems. But based on my experience with imported castings, I would go with the domestic product. (of course it might have had the iron casting made in China also).
