OK, my neighbors know all about our C-Dorys...but we just got their Christmas card...with a picture of their brand new Trophy Pro 23. I tried, honest...

Well hopefully they at least know quality beer when the taste it. Now if there was a can of Budweiser on the Bayliner..... there's simply no hope for them and you may have to move.

Roger – for someone with a scientific mind, you sure come up with some logical conclusions.

Pat - you (as long as you bring Patty with you), are always welcome down here in redneck country.

Pat, don't be too hard on your self after all your exuberance was well meant! I would have loved to have a neighbor who knew boats prior to my purchase. I have learned a bunch the hard way and while I really like where I am in my boating career, I would not go down the same path again.
Several years ago "Problem Post's" were pretty minimal and I fell in hook line and sinker to the thinking that these were The Boat to have.
If your neighbor can read, it would be easy for him to put two and two together after spending nominal time on this site and ask himself how interested he was in getting into all the problems portrayed here.
There have always been and always be more Bayliners than C-dory's out there and I think we look pretty foolish running them down all the time, especially in light of all the openly discussed problems the C-dorys have.

Even some of those problems that never get mentioned on here. AARRRggghhhh

Now theres another subject I could never figure out. When something comes with the instructions written all over it why do people buy them anyway? "Dodge"

Don't worry Pat... Too many boats for all purchases to be C-Dory boats... particuarly if you want to set the keg up in the cockpit and invite about 12 folks on board to help enjoy it for a sundown cruise.

Ever wonder why I picked my current boat?? C-Dory does not have a large cockpit in the 25' boats! Yall come on down and let's fill the cockpit!

See Yall Soon!

This was an interesting point for me as a former Bayliner owner. You will not find me bashing Bayliner. My 19' cuddy was a TANK and I used it hard and loaded it heavy for 8 seasons in open ocean.

When I decided to get the next boat I was drawn to C-Dory. I honestly looked elsewhere after reading about all the QC problems. Some months later I returned to C-Dory. I could not find any brand that did not have QC problems. It was definitely frustrating to learn that my $20,000 Bayliner had the same sort of QC problems as a $120,000 boat whether C-Dory, Sea Ray, etc. but it's the reality. With that understanding I continued my exhaustive research. I spoke to Tom Latham who recognized the problems and assured me of the improvements in QC, emailed/spoke to 5 dealerships and several owners, kicked the tires at 3 dealerships, then decided to buy the C-Dory.

I can't wait to take delivery! You will find few brands with an 'Owners Army' like C-Brats who can prepare you for what to look for and what to have fixed before it comes off the lot. I've said it before, the link to C-Brats should be a listed feature on any C-Dory invoice.

Geez Tom, I hope Dee doesn't see that add!! I showed her Pat and Patty's Crabby Lu with the new camperback and her comment was "I'd love to have a cute red or green one". I said I want a yellow Mokai first.
