The heat sleeve on the wires leading to the fan in the lid on my Wallas 95D chafed through. After casting about locally (I'm on the Chesapeake), I called Scan Marine in Seattle. I happened to speak with Doug McElroy and he said "I might have a piece of that downstairs; if I do I'll mail it to you." That was late Friday afternoon, December 11. In the mail today (Wednesday, December 16), the heat sleeve arrived--no charge!

THAT is first class customer service.

I love my Wallas, and I guess I now feel the same way about Scan Marine.

That is great to hear, Dan. Hope I learn to love my Wallas too.

We had two issues with the Wallas while we had ours - Scan Marine diagnosed both over the phone; one was a battery situation, not a problem with the Wallas. The other was a glow plug that needed to be replaced. I had the glow plug from them in 2 days, replaced it myself (with their guidance).

They told me the glow plug was related to usage, that they have a useful life. More maintenance than repair.

We were delighted with the Wallas. And Scan Marine!
