Anyone running the Galaxy Tab A for Navionics? My nexus 7 was getting slow so I just bought the Tab for my new boat.

Any issues with Navionics compatibility? The support page says its compatible. I just downloaded the app now....

Yes, and it works great. I bought it as my cheap sidekick to my old Raymarine chartplotter and still use it even after I installed a new 942xs Garmin. I use a 2 suction cup RAM Mount and it is solid. I also run Marine Traffic for AIS info.

Larry,

Love it. Big update from the old Raymarine. I do however have some interference on the sounder...Even with both motors off and lifted I get vertical lines of noise/interference. May need to re-route the cable.... My wife and I ran from Langley to DeMoines City Marina on Sunday and didn't get back to Langley till 2300 in some, not so great seas... The radar and chartplotter made a world of difference. You're always welcome to come down and check it out!

Thanks John for the invite. I have relatives in Coupeville & that could work. I hope you solve the interference difficulty & perhaps Garmin customer service could help if you get stumped. Larry

I like my iPad Air cellular tablet a lot better than my ASUS Android tablet but later sure has a lot of features - removable keyboard, mouse pad, keyboard battery also powers tablet, memory card slot, add a memory to keyboard and tablet cant access it, USB port, screen is Gorilla glass, builtin speakers, etc but only runs Kit Kat and not enough RAM. Lesson learned ASUS tablet cant be upgraded to newer Android OS

I would invest in some "Ferrite beads". Put these on power supplies of all of the units, and you may need to put one on the sounder cable/cables.

Bob,
Already done....Still there... I'm going to reroute the cable and see what happens. Check some grounds, see what happens. Just time consuming in and out of the water to test. I may have to call Steve @ Sounder Solutions if I get too stumped.

Info is always welcome!

Thanks!
