Salt water spots on outside glass

How the heck do you get rid of salt water spots on the outside of the windows. I tried the white vinegar trick. It didn't seem to work any better than 409 cleaner.

Bar Keepers Friend will be your friend. Tyboo and others gave this info quite a while ago, and works well. Found at grocery stores and Fred Meyer. Similar to Bon Ami and other shaker cans, but works great taking the salt off. Regards

Forrest,
I cleaned ours with a plug of tobacco, theh two applications of Rainx. Same on toe inside to reduce condensation.

OMG, that is what dad was doing to the windshield of the 55 Ford station wagon! Always wondered why he had plug tobacco around when he was a Copenhagen guy. (I thought that our cars came from the dealers with brown stripes down the drivers side!)

I use plain old wax on the construction equiptment cabs seems to help keep dirt and grease off, clean up easier to. cheap & doesn"t seem to hurt the glass?,might be worth a try good luck,.>>>>>>>> john

For removing the salt try Salt-Away. It is available from West Marine in a 16 oz spray bottle WM sku 377525 $12.99. It is also available in quarts or gallons.

My CDs name is CHARITY, cause that is where all of my money goes.

Thanks for your replys. I'm going to try Bar Keepers Friend. Don't chew so I don't know if plug tobacco would work. Kinda think I may be getting set up, just like snipe hunting.
Thanks again,
Forrest

That Barkeepers stuff is good for cleaning stains off the gelcoat too. Amazingly good. Like the rust and grease stains that show up in the splashwell. It will take all the wax off when it cleans but things shine back up with new wax.

Dave, You are such a nice guy. A bit of a fibber, but nice.

OMG, I'm how old? :cry Does that Barkeepers stuff get rid of wrinkles? Restore memory loss? Put a kick in your step? Reverse effects of gravity? and remove water spots? I'll pay any price.
