San Souci will launch from Trident State Park, Hood Canal, WA around 1 June
2021 for at least cruising San Juans. Have C-shots and applied for Nexus Pass. If possible, plan to cruise as far north as Broughton Archipelago, BC.
Will I see some C-Dorys along my way?

Frankly, I'd give you 2:1 odds that the border will not be open to recreational boating until at least the fall or the end of this year. I'm hopeful that the 2022 season will be back to normal.

I hope to be in the Broughtons in June, but then I am Canadian. As I live in Alberta, not BC this may not be possible due to interprovincial travel restrictions.

If I would put odds on the Canadian border reopening before this fall, I would say 10:1 against. I would make a plan B to stay stateside this year and make the most of it.

There is a way good chance you will see some C-Dorys in the Salish or San Juans. I would bet way less that 100 to 1 that you will get into Canada (legally) C-Shots or no.

I hope I'm wrong about getting to go North. I would love to be in the Broughtons this summer.

You must mean Triton Cove. That's just north of me. "Trident" are the big black things cruising the north end of Hood Canal. Best to stay away from those.

Wondering about the Triton Cove State Park launch. Is it a shallow launch where it is best to launch at high tide? Is overnight parking allowed? Is truck and trailer security an issue if they allow long term parking? Thanks for information with any or all of these questions.
