Sacramento boat show

The Sacramento boat show is being held this weekend at Cal-Expo. The list of vendors shows C-Dory by the Outboard motor shop. Looking at their inventory it only shows a 2009 26 Venture in stock, so I assume they will have that on hand. I have always wanted to check out one of those. The friends I am going with are looking at the Ranger Tugs, which are also listed as being at the show.

Any one else attending?

We might be attending on Saturday. If you want to see a 2008 26 Venture, as well as Angel Island, or the Golden Gate drop me an email and we can try to get together.

This is a standing offer for any C-Brats who find themselves near San Francisco. It's fun to meet the people behind the screen names, and my father and I enjoy your company.

"Outboard motor shop"

This is the outfit that originally sold and set up my boat. I contacted them less than year after they did that work. Not the easiest folks to to deal with. Hope, and maybe they have, changed. Still like the boat, and have been glad to have Matt Gournsey and Less Lampman in this area to work with.

Maybe something has changed, but the last time I talked to the Outboard Motor Shop people they definitely were not a C-Dory dealer. However they may still have some boats left to sell.

They've been servicing our boat and I've been happy with them.

Outboard motor shop is a C-Dory dealer according to their website, dealers are not flooring boats so you will not see them in stock. They do have a leftover 26' On the dealer list for the show it shows space 412 for C-Dory and Outboard motor shop.

I have been gone from Sac for 9 years and when I was there the Outboard shop was not the people to deal with. My father in law bought a 16ft boat ( harbor craft) from them and when he went to pick it up it was on a used repainted trailer not a new one like he ordered. they tried to hide it and lie to him but who ever painted the trailer forgot to paint the underside of it. :sad

Locally known as a bad shop. sorry but that's the way it is or was 9 years ago.

Just got back from the boat show, The Outboard motor shop is indeed still a C-Dory dealer, however they did not have any C-Dory to view, my friends were disappointed, so we went to the Ranger Tug display, they had a 25, 27, and 29 footer and were the busiest display at the show.

The number of vendors was way down this year, only 1 electronics vendor, so I was was able to test out several different GPS units without a crowd around me.

I know how frustrating it is to not be able to see boats at the shows, and we would love to be able to stock at least a couple of boats- and the factory wants us to as well.

All of the dealers are in the same boat at this point (pun not intended!)- We can't get flooring. Until that situation changes, C-Dory's will be special order boats.
